CHEMISTRY INTERN OPPORTUNITIES

Ambit Biosciences is engaged in the discovery and development of small-molecule kinase inhibitors for the treatment of cancer. With more than 500 distinct kinases identified and over 30 kinase inhibitors in clinical trials or FDA approved, this important class of proteins is a rich area for therapeutic drug development.

We have part-time (15-20 hours/week) intern opportunities to join the Chemistry team.

The Chemistry interns will be directly involved in the department’s research and development and gain hands-on experience in medicinal chemistry/ organic synthesis. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, maintaining lab equipment and inventory levels, as well as basic laboratory tasks.

This position requires completion of basic chemistry and lab courses. The candidate should be a self-starter with a positive can-do attitude and possess excellent communication (both verbal and written), organization and interpersonal skills. Good computer skills are essential.
